5 Floral Events in San Diego this Spring

As flower lovers through and through, we love blooms from every season. It’s undeniable, though, that Spring is synonymous with flowers for a reason! The days are getting longer, and more daylight hours combined with warmer temps and a bit of rainfall triggers plants to shift from leaf production to flowering. Spring is the time when flowers flourish with flair, inviting every floral star to the party.

There's no better time to immerse yourself in the power of flowers through a floral class, a party, or a floral-themed experience. Celebrate the spring season with these five floral events in San Diego you won't want to miss.

4. Art Alive 2025

April 24-27, 2025
San Diego Museum of Art, 1450 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101

Art Alive is a unique floral event in San Diego bringing together multiple artistic mediums. Floral designers interpret works in the San Diego Museum of Art by creating stunning arrangements, which are displayed next to the work of art for the weekend. The combination allows you to immerse yourself in a world of art and flowers! It’s an inspiring event, with 80+ florists participating, and a beautiful two-story floral installation in the museum’s rotunda, designed by Natasha Lisitsa and Daniel Schultz, the wife-and-husband team behind Waterlily Pond design studio in San Francisco. We know first-hand how much work it takes to create the rotunda installation – Native Poppy’s founder, Natalie Gill, was the featured florist rotunda designer back in 2023.

Native Poppy helps create buzz for this favorite San Diego floral event by popping up at surprise locations each weekend leading up to Art Alive with the beloved Petal Pops. Don’t miss these fun floral pop ups in March and April, as we approach Art Alive weekend!
